More Details

The hallmark of the Beljik is its remarkable colour, from varying shades of deep reds, blues and blacks. These rugs are generally considered to be the finest of all tribal style rugs. They are made with finely-spun wool and knotted into intricate geometric patterns with complex borders.

Beljiks have intricate geometric patterns.
The wool for these carpets is only taken from the belly of the sheep, greatly increasing the number of sheep required to produce this wool and therefore the price indicated in these extra fine and soft rugs.

A 5’x3′ rug can take 8–10 months by four to five experienced artisans working five to six hours a day to complete!

Safety first

Your safety is very important to us. Rugs can be slippery when laid down on to a hard surface. We recommend anti-slip underlay for all our rugs.  We currently do not stock any underlay. We have plans to stock this soon.
